I have spoke with Enco about getting a 3 phase converter from them but I don't know the model number ( it is no longer on the machine ).

There happens to be a Bridgeport mill with a variable speed (pulley, not an inverter) drive not 10 feet away from me, and the nameplate on its motor lists voltages from 200 to 480 depending on how one wires it. If you want to run the thing on single phase, it may be possible to use an inverter VFD, Keep in mind the motor is probably not...

Connecting all three "hots" will of course give you 208 volt three phase. In light duty industrial settings this gives you three phase and also single phase 120 volt without the use of buck and boost transformers. Setting a machine that is connected to a true 240 volt single phase to the 208 volt setting is probably not a good practice.
