Mar 17, 2014· I have an old electric die grinder, hand grinder. siries 10 maybe. The driving shaft looks like 3/8 fine thread coming out of the motor, the 1/8" collet chuck is threaded on. There is 3/8" of the threaded shaft exposed between the grinder and the chuck. I could use long nose vice grips but I hate to mar the threads.
